NSA questions Russia ‘No Limits’’ Partnership with China . Conveys ‘India only takes decisions on its national interests.
NSA Ajit Doval is on an unannounced visit to Russia for the first time since the Ukraine War. After meeting with his Russian counterpart ,He met Russian deputy Pm DenisManturov. Both sides discussed about peaceful ises of outer space ,trade and economic links .
On August 17 Doval had a heart-to-heart conversation with his Russian counterpart . He made it clear that India only takes decisions based on its national interests .
Doval also questioned Russia's no limits partnership with China &its impact on India .

Dispelled the Russian notion that India distanced itself from its strategic partner and moved closer to the wastern camp .
Made it clear that India only takes decisions based on its self-interests and national security concerns .
Reiterated that India is not bound to any camp.
Convey that India was concerned about Russia leaning toward China .
Explained that the boundary issue has been hangingfire with China still to restore April 2020 status quo ante in the East Ladakh sector.
Two sides discussed Chinese Power Project post Nancy Pelosi August 2 Taiwan visit. Russia raised concerns over military response by Japan ,Taiwan and U.S Chinese drills .
Russia also discussed rapid militaroization of the Indo-Pacific with the Indian side . At the NSA level dialogue the two sides discussed cooperation in atomic energy.
Both countries are also worried about the developments in Afghanistan.
