India is set to upgrade its missile arsenal with an eye on China ballistic missile threat . DRDO has finalised design for conventional ballistic missiles with range of 1500 kms . India conventionally armed ballistic missile will be equipped with Anti-ship variant .
The 1,500 km range missile will help tackle any adversary on land and on high seas . The unnamed Ballistic Missile is designed to deter any threat in the Indian Ocean . It will also counter any land-based threat from across LAC iN Xinjiang tibet and Yunnan .
The missile will add punch to India submarine-Base conventional Ballistic missile like BQ-02 with range over 700 km . DRDO is awaiting green signal from modi government to move to the development stage .
