Putin tells Pupils why Russian Troops are in Ukraine in a Speech to Open School Year

Seven month since Russia  invasion of  Ukraine Vladimir Putin has outlined his view of the conflict to Russian School Pupils .

The Russian President met children as they started academic year on September1 .

“ In the territory of today Ukraine. They have started to create an anti-Russian enclave that threatens our country .

Therefore our lads fighting there are protecting both the residents of the donbas region  as well as defending Russia itself .

Of course this deserves full support from society and this is very important from young people . The lads fighting there are risking their lives . Many of them die.

So they must understand what they are giving their lives for and that this is an extremely important thing for Russia and for the people who live in Donbas region . (Vladimir Putin President Russia)
