Russia extends cargo transit ban on unfriendly countries
Russian borders to remain shut for EU , Norway, UK trucks even in 2023
Russian president Vladimir Putin is taking on the western sanctions in top gear .
One after the other Putin is striking down the west pressure tactics .
First he snubbed west on $60 oil price cap threat and now the Russian president has extended
Ban on the cargo transit entry into Russian territory.
The cargo transit ban has been prolonged for EU, UK , Norway and of course Ukraine .
The ban which due to expire on Dec 31 will now be in place till June 30, 2023 .
Under this order by kremlin unfriendly nations are not allowed to transport their goods
Through Russian territory by road.
However goods to Russia are allowed only after the cargo is reloaded from foreign trucks to Russian and Belarusian vehicles at the border . The reciprocal ban was in response to similar restrictions on Russian trucks . Through their are exemptions for various types of food and manufactured goods.
Cargo delivery to or from Russian exclave of Kaliningrad is also exempted from crubs .
The ban extensions decision comes just days after Putin refused to bow down to west blackmail on capping Russian oil price at $60/Barrel . Putin said Russia will not abide by the cap even if it has to cut production .
