Russia accuses Ukraine of killing 14 and injuring 24 in a targeted attack on a hospital . Building of district hospital in Russia controlled Luhansk flattened by strike . Kremlin US made HIMARs rocket launchers to targets civilians hospital.
The facility was providing medical aid to civilians and servicemen for months. Moscow also accused Washington of being directly complicit in the attack . Russia first deputy permanent representative to UN said the target of HIMARS are agreed by Washington so it makes the US directly complicit.
Russia alleges war crime by Ukraine
On 28 January at about 7:30 am the Ukrainian armed forces launched an intentional attack using rocket propelled projectiles of US manufactured HIMARS multiple launch rocket system ont the building of district hospital in Novoayfar .
The impact of the rockets with high explosive fragmentation warheads has resulted in killing 14 and injuring 24 patients and medical employees of the hospital. All the victims are being provided with professional medical aid.
The international missile strikes launched at the obviously known operating civilian healthcare facility is an undoubted heinous war crime of the Kyiv regime. All the accomplices will be found and brought to justice for planning and implementing this crime. ( Statement By Russian Defense Ministry)
The Ukrainian military has so far not commented on the Russian allegations. Attacks comes after Ukrainian HIMARS strike on Russian barracks near Donetsk killed 300 troops . Kyiv goy HIMARS in mid 2022 and it helped Ukraine change the war momentum.
HIMARs rocket systems are able to hit a front door from up to 54 miles away . Ukraine used HIMARs to knock out Russian command posts and supply depots . Meanwhile Russia has intensified its offensive to fully take over the Donetsk region.
Donetsk government claimed 3 people were killed and a dozen injured in Russian attack. Moscow has also stepped up attacks in the east on the towns of Vuhedar and Bakhmut .
