Mardan's anti-terrorism court has ordered the release of six more people arrested in connection with the incidents of May 9 and 10, while the total number of accused in Mardan jail is more than 120.
Nadeem Shah Advocate, the lawyer of the persons released from Mardan, said that no evidence of involvement in any incident of the six persons whom the court has ordered to be released, nor any video or photo of them or their Any evidence of presence in the protests was presented in court.
He said that the Mardan police requested the court today to send the accused to jail on judicial remand. The evidence could not be presented in the court, so orders should be issued to release them.
After the arguments of the parties, the court asked for a written report from the investigating officer, on the basis of which the six persons have been ordered to be acquitted from the case.
According to the lawyers, these people were initially detained under 3 MPO, but after the decision of the Peshawar High Court in this regard, more than 90 people were arrested in different cases in Mardan Jail.
