Beirut: In Lebanon, a journalist and a former minister got into a fight during a debate on a live program, the video of which went viral on social media.
According to a foreign news agency, a discussion regarding the elections was going on in a Lebanese TV channel, and the former minister hit the journalist with a glass full of water.
Journalist Simon Abu Fazil got up from his seat after being thrown a glass by the former minister Wiam Wahab and clashed with the former minister. The people in the studio immediately set up a beach rescue.
Journalist Abu Fazil is the brother of lawyer and political analyst Joseph Abu Fazil and was slightly injured in the altercation that lasted for a few minutes.
The altercation ended when the two reporters in the studio and the people with them dispersed, but the former minister's bodyguards killed Abu Fazil outside the studio, and after that the matter has taken a legal form.
