Cricket Australia has announced the squads for the World Cup, tour of South Africa and India. The 18-member preliminary squad for the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup has been announced by Australia.
Australia will play a series of 3 T20Is and 5 ODIs in South Africa and 3 ODIs in India. Skipper Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Cameron Green and David Warner are not included in the T20 squad, all of whom will join the team for the ODI series.
Mitchell Marsh has been appointed as the captain of the T20 team. Glenn Maxwell, unavailable for the ODI series against South Africa due to family commitments, will join the team in India.
Pat Cummins' wrist was injured on the first day of the final Test of the Ashes series, and he is completing a 6-week rehab. The ODI squad will be led by Pete Cummins, with David Warner included in the squad while Marnus Labuschran is unable to make the spot.
