India defeated West Indies by seven wickets in the third T20 World Cup in Saint Lucia.
Batting first, West Indies scored 159 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs, in response to which India achieved the required target for the loss of three wickets in the eighteenth over.
West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first. Brendan King 42 and Royman Powell 40 were the top scorers for West Indies. In reply, Surya Kumar Yadav scored 83 and Tilak Verma scored 49 for India and played a vital role in their team's victory.
