Thailand: Emergency on 3 AirAsia flights in 10 minutes, 1 emergency landing

 Three AirAsia flights had an emergency in Thailand within 10 minutes, one of which made an emergency landing.


According to aviation sources, AirAsia flight FD 319 took off from Bangkok Airport to Kuala Lumpur at 2:50 PM on Saturday.


20 minutes after the flight, the Airbus A320 aircraft had crossed the altitude of 31,000 feet at a speed of 845 km per hour, when the pilot indicated a serious technical problem to the air traffic control and declared an emergency at 2:29 p.m.

The pilot was instructed to turn back, so the plane flew low over the Gulf of Thailand at 10,000 feet and landed back in Bangkok 58 minutes after takeoff.


Later, the plane was changed and the passengers were sent to their destination. Another AirAsia flight FD3231 took off from Bangkok to Surat Thani at 2:34 PM.Just 1 minute after takeoff, the plane was at an altitude of 925 feet when the air traffic control received an emergency signal from the Airbus A320 aircraft.

During the flight, the technical problem was removed and the plane reached the destination safely. Another AirAsia flight FD 3161 was en route from Phuket to Chang Mai at 2:39 PM when emergency signals were also received from the Airbus A320 aircraft, however the aircraft made a normal landing at the destination.
