Five people were killed and 12 injured in an explosion during the Friday prayer sermon at the police station mosque in Doaba Tehsil of Hangu District, Kohat Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A preliminary report of the suicide blast in the mosque of Hangu Duba police station has been prepared. According to the report, 2 suicide bombers arrived in time to enter the mosque, one suicide bomber was killed outside the mosque due to timely response of the police.
According to the report, during the exchange of fire between the police and the attackers, the worshipers left the mosque in time. According to the initial report, during the firing, the second suicide attacker entered the mosque, where did the attackers come from, the police investigation is ongoing from all aspects.
2 police officers were also injured due to firing by terrorists, according to eyewitnesses there were around 30 people inside the mosque. According to Deputy Commissioner Fazal Akbar Khan, the rescue operation has been completed.
Eyewitnesses say that the officer who stopped the terrorist at the gate saved them from major casualties. If the attackers were not stopped in time, the fear of loss of lives was high. Hearing the sound of firing, the worshipers became alert and saved themselves.
