 Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi says the release of the five American citizens was a purely humanitarian act.

In a conversation with journalists in New York, the Iranian president said that the US and Iran will take such measures in the future. It should be noted that the United States and Iran have released five prisoners of each other under the agreement brokered by Qatar.

Under the agreement, the US has also released six billion dollars worth of Iranian assets frozen in South Korea.
