Cipher case: Chairman PTI's plea to stay trial, Latif Khosa's arguments

 Arguing on PTI chairman's request to stop the trial, lawyer Latif Khosa has said that the former prime minister was the country's chief executive at that time.


Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq is conducting the hearing. At the beginning of the hearing, the FIA prosecutor requested to adjourn the hearing till tomorrow. Chairman PTI lawyer Latif Khosa said that I am ready for the arguments, if the hearing has to be adjourned then issue an injunction on the trial.



Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq said that Khosa should start his arguments today. The court, speaking to the FIA prosecutor, asked that you also give the written arguments that you have to give. The court asked that Mr. Khosa tell us whether there is a law to declassify documents in Pakistan like the United States.

The decision will be pronounced today on PTI chairman's request

It should be noted that the decision will be pronounced today on the petition of chairman PTI against the jail trial in the cipher case.


Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq Mahfouz will pronounce the verdict today. Yesterday, the Islamabad High Court Registrar's Office had issued the cause list. Chairman PTI has requested hearing in court instead of jail. The court had reserved the decision on the petition of Chairman PTI.
