Hamas writes a letter to the secretary general denouncing "war crimes" in Gaza and asks the UN to condemn Israel.

Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyeh has accused Israel of committing war crimes in Gaza strip . Haniyeh made the claim in a letter addressed to united nations secretary-general .  " Israel atrocities amount to war crimes Haniyeh in a letter to Antonio Guterres . 

Haniyeh alleged that Israel is preventing humanitarian aid from entering gaza strip  . The HAMAS leaders urged guterres to pressure Israel to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza strip . 

The Hamas cheif also condemned the barbaric Israel siege imposed on gaza strip . This comes a week after HAMAS militants launched a surprise assault on Israel . Over 1300 Israeli have been killed so far since the weekend attack  and over 300 injured .

Following the attack , Israel imposed a total siege on the HAMAS-controlled Gaza strip . Over 1900 Palestinians have been killed in Israel bombardment of the besieged Gaza . Thousands of Palestinians have fled Gaza neigbourhoods after Israeli ultimatum 

Israel had said any Palestinian who ants to save life must relocate to south Gaza from north . Israel also claimed to have killed two top HAMAS commanders behind the surprise attack .
