Estonian intelligence chief reveals Putin's Europe plans

Estonian intelligence Chief reveals Putin's Europe plans,  Russian dictator Vladimir Putin wants to establish a new security architecture in Europe, and with his aggression expand the sphere of influence of the Russian Federation, says Ants Kiviselg, the head of Estonian intelligence, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

The head of Estonian intelligence agrees with the opinion that the destruction of Ukraine and the establishment of a new world order is the main goal of the head of the Kremlin.

"What Putin said in December 2021 is what he truly wants. He wants NATO to stop expanding and roll back to its 1997 boundaries," Kiviselg said.

The head of Estonian intelligence also added that there is no indication that the Kremlin has changed such plans.

"I believe he wants to establish a new security architecture in Europe. Russia wants to expand its sphere of influence and increase it. In Russia's view, smaller countries should not have their own will, and they should not have the right to say what they want," Kiviselg said.

He specified that the Kremlin's similar policy of aggression is directed against Western values, so democratic countries are resisting

"There is no scenario in which we would want to live like Russia," Kiviselg emphasized.

According to him, there are people in Russia, both in population and among the elites, who are not very satisfied with what's happening. “And the Prigozhin's March showed that unexpected things can happen in Russia. Of course, anything is possible, but unfortunately, I don't see the situation changing right now. But I would be happy to be wrong”, Kiviselg said.
