S. Korea, U.S. kick off 2-day joint space forum in Seoul

 A joint space forum co-hosted by South Korea and the United States kicked off in Seoul on Monday as the two countries mark the 70th anniversary of their alliance this year.



The two-day event is expected to bring together some 40 government officials and experts from both countries, to focus on ways to boost cooperation in space-related policies, diplomacy, security and other areas.

At the opening ceremony, South Korea's foreign minister Park Jin stressed that the country plans to make significant investments in space technology.and encourage private sector engagement, while building international partnerships on key space technologies.


He also highlighted that South Korea is fully committed to ensuring a safe and sustainable space environment through its alliance with the U.S.
