South Korean, Italian presidents to hold bilateral summit Wed. in Seoul

 South Korea and Italy's heads of state will meet later today for a summit talks in Seoul.during Italian President Sergio Mattarella's three-day state visit.


According to the top office President Yoon Suk Yeol.will hold a welcoming ceremony at the Yongsan Presidential Office before their summit talks, which are expected to cover economic cooperation, science and technology , including space technology, as well as cultural and people-to-people exchanges.

The leaders will also hold a signing ceremony for memorandums of understanding, and then a joint press conference to announce the outcomes.

The Italian President touched down in the country on Tuesday at Seoul Air Base --South Korea being his first stop on his mission to strengthen Italy's interests in Asia and cooperation with what Italian media calls "partners of great strategic importance."
