The determination of the US Secretary of State to visit Iraq

US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken says that he will visit Iraq after the West Bank.

In the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, the US Secretary of State said in a conversation with the media that there was a very good and comprehensive discussion with the Iraqi leader.

"The United States is working very hard to keep the conflict from spilling out of Gaza, and our focus is on bringing the hostages home from Gaza," Blanken said.

He said that a humanitarian pause could increase the chances of the hostages' return.

Antony Blanken said that the aid going to Gaza is very insufficient, the wishes of the Palestinians should be the center in the future of Gaza.

The US Secretary of State said that attacks on US personnel are a matter of Iraqi sovereignty.

Blanken added that it was important to send a clear message to U.S. officials about threats not to do so.
