Signs of Escalation as Houthi Warns of 'Heavy Price' After US, and UK Strikes in Yemen

As the Western airstrikes on Yemen conclude and more and more images of the toll on Houthi rebels get clear, the rebels are now seeding over Western actions in a big escalatory tone. With a statement, America and Britain will have to prepare to pay for a heavy prize, the Yemen authorities have now vowed retaliation. Reportedly, the deputy foreign minister, Huse Al-Houthi, has announced that his country was subject to a massive aggressive attack by American and British ships, submarines, and warplanes, as reported by the official media. So, both America and Britain will have to be prepared to pay for a heavy price and bear all the dire consequences of this blatant aggression. Al-Arabiya has stated that the Houthi television channel of Al-Masirah has announced that the airstrikes hit the capital Sana'a, as well as the cities of Hodeidah and Saada.

U.S. officials claim that fighter jets and Tomahawk missiles launched from warships and submarines were used in the massive retaliatory strike against Yemen. The strikes, according to President Joe Biden, were intended to show that the U.S. and its allies will not tolerate the Houthi's ongoing attacks on the Red Sea. For almost two months now, the Houthi rebels have been launching disruptive attacks on the Red Sea, which negatively impacted commercial shipping on the trade route.

Weeks prior to the U.S. and U.K.'s attack in Yemen, now, according to reports, the U.S. and U.K.'s airstrikes on Yemen were directed towards an airbase, airport, and a military camp which was run by the Houthi. Weeks after Houthis were said to have attacked ships in the Red Sea, the oil-rich Middle East crisis has flared up again. For the time being, it is unknown what the Iran-backed militia might be capable of in retaliation. Rest assured, though, things are still developing, and it could quickly spiral out of control."
