China is building a huge new telescope to guide its space explorations.
Constructions of the Qitai radio telescope (QTT) began in Xinjiang on September 21.
When completed it will be world largest steerable radio telescope .

Chinese astronomers say the new piece of glass will help address a range of questions from how stars form to the detection of gravitational waves ,black holes and dark matter .
The QTT dish will be 10% bigger than the world 1st fully -steerable telescope in the U.S led by Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory the project will take about six years to finish .
