Russia threatens west satellite “Provocation”
Russian warns West against involvement in Ukraine war
Russia has issued a big warning to the west against use of satellites to aid Ukraine . Konstantin Voronstsov Russian foreign ministry official threaten western commercial satellites for “Retaliatory strikes” if they were involved in war .
He further accused US and its allies of “Trying to use space to enforce western dominance”. Russia : use of west satellites for war effort sets extremely dangerous trend .Vorontsov made this remark at United Nations first committee , DW reported .

Use of western satellites to aid the ukrainian war effort was an extremely dangerous trend . Quasi-civilian infrastructure may be a legitimate target for a retaliatory strikes . West use of such satellites to support Ukraine was a provocation .We are talking about the involvement of components of civilian space infrastructure, including commercial , by the United States and its allies in armed conflict”.
Russian anti-satellite offensive capabilities are well known . In 2021 Russia showcased this ability by destroying its own satellites . US , China and India are among a few nations who posses this ability .
