UK, Italy And Japan Team Up For Next-Gen Fighter Jet
New combat jet to trump China 5th Gen fighters
Future partnership with India for “Tempest” on cards
UK , Italy and Japan have joined hands to develop new next-gen fighter jet “Tempest” . The mega project has been signed between the three nations with a aim to create a next gen fighter jet that can use artificial intelligence to assist human pilots.
“Tempest” fighter jet will be developed and build under the “Global Combat Air Programme” . The first jet is slated to be produced by 2035 that will replace UK ageing typhoon fleet .
UK, Italy and Japan already have US made 5th gen F-35s in their respective air force . The aim of a new combat jet will be to provide advance sensors and AI to assists pilots .These next gen jets dubbed to counter future threats from belligerent China and Russia .
