Russian President Vladimir Putin to make a rare visit to Belarus one of his closest allies .Putin will travel to Minsk on Monday to hod talks with president Alexander Lukashenko . Both Putin and Lukashenko will talk on security and measures to respond to emerging challenges. Kremlin focus on strategic partnership and alliance with an emphasis on integration cooperation.

We will talk about the defense capability the security of our state but most importantly about the economy.
We will never be enemies of Russia and we will never look disapprovingly at Russia. This is the country closest to US , the people closest to us. I think that while we are in power we will stick to this tendency . If it were otherwise it would be like in Ukraine”.
This will be Putin first visit in more than three years to his ally Belarus since 2019 . There are fears that Belarus might join Russia war against neighbouring Ukraine . Report say Russian and Belarus troops are concentrating near Ukraine northern borders .
Trainloads of Russian troops and equipment are moving into Belarus since October. However experts call it Kremlin saber-rattling and intimidation AFP has reported . Belarus is Russia key aly which even allowed Putin troops to cross into Ukraine .
US and EU have imposed sanctions on Lukashenko regime for aiding Russia in the war. Tensions between Belarus and US-led NATO flare up after Belarus launched a surprise military combat exercise aimed to check the readiness of its forces.
Lukashenko has said he did not intend to send Belarusian troops to Ukraine . In return Misk accused Kyiv of planning to conduct a strike on Belarus .
