Russia Tests New Missile to Defend Its Airspace
New Anti-Ballistic missile tested from Kazakhstan
Russia is conducted a new missile to defend against Air-space attacks .
New Anti-Ballistic missile was test-fires from one of Russia air defense system . The crucial test was conducted at Sary-Shagan range in Kazakhstan Moscow key ally .
Russian Defense Ministry released images showing how the missile was transported put into combat readiness before blasting off at an immensely high speed .
Major general Sergei Grabchuk commander of the ABM Defense formation said that new ABM missile successfully hit the mock target with specified accuracy .

Russian Anti-Ballistic Missile System
The A-135 renamed to A-235 NATO name ABM-4 Gorgan
Deployed around Moscow to intercept incoming warheads targeting the city .
Designed in the Soviet Union and entered service in 1995
Consists of the Don-2N Battle management Radar and two types of ABM Missiles ,
68 Active launchers of short-range 53T6 end atmospheric interceptor nuclear armed missiles , 12 or 16 missiles each , deployed at five launch sites.
Russia however did not reveal the name or details of Anti-missile Defense System . ABM System is used by Russian aerospace force to defend against attacks by aerospace weapons .
Meanwhile Ukraine is demanding more S-300 Air Defense Systems from the west . Ukraine Defense Minister S-300 works well and negotiations are on to replenish its stock . Ukraine reportedly has variety of S-300 variants .

S-300 Missile System Explained
Surface -to-air missiles originally developed by the Soviet Union.
There are several version s of the S-300 rocket with different technical capabilities and ranges.
Maximum range of the standard missile is 150 km and the warheads weigh 133-143 kg .
Intended to shoot down aircraft drones and incoming cruise and ballistic missiles.
Missiles are equipped with guidance systems to automatically latch on to targets .
Several individual missiles can be fired simultaneously at multiple targets .
It is used by both Russia and Ukraine as well as 18 other countries including NATO members Greece , Slovakia and Bulgaria .
