Russia's Wagner Group Buying "Swarm Drones" From China In New Covert Arms Deal? Ukraine War

 Wagner group get swarm drones from China for in Ukraine ? Over 2,500 DJI Mavix2 drones shipped to Russia in covert deal. Claim as US sanctions Chinese firm for aiding Wagner .


Russia Wagner Group is secretly developing “swarm drones” in collaboration with China as per a report . More than 2,500 helicopter-style DJI Mavic2 drones were shipped from Beijing to Moscow Britain daily mirror reports . 


The group is attempting to develop a swarm platform for coordination autonomous drone orchestration using the 2,500 delivered recently from China. The communications channel between the Wagnerties and the Chinese communist party is in two closed networks one in Russia and one in China. (Intelligence report quoted by Daily Mirror)



China is previously denied claims that it is providing military aid to Russia for its invasion of Ukraine . 

What are Swarm Drones?

Directed by artificial intelligence a swarm network uses a large number of drones for a specific mission . The explosive tipped and bomb-dropping drones can also be deployed to strike multiple targets of civilians or troops . 


Russia has been using Iranian Kamikaze drones to hit critical infrastructure and power supplies in Ukraine .Meanwhile the Wagner group has claimed credit for the capture of several settlements in eastern Ukraine.  Last November it opened its first official headquarter for generating new ideas to improve Russia defense capability. Several drone aircraft were also on display at the PMC Wagner Center in St Petersburg .

US  sanctions Chinese firm for helping Wagner 

The US on Jan 26 declared the Wagner Group as transnational criminal organistaion . It also imposed sanctions against Wagner global support network including a Chinese firm and its Luxembourg-based subsidiary . The US also accuse North Korea of supplying infantry rockets and missiles to Wagner. Washington claims Wagner is spending more than $100 million each month in its operation in Ukraine
