Like last year, 2 Eids will be celebrated in Britain this year too.
According to a foreign news agency, the Central London Mosque has announced to celebrate Eid on June 28 with Saudi Arabia, while the Central Jamaat Ahl-e-Sunnah UK and Overseas Trust says that Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on June 29.
On the other hand, the calendar-following community in America and Canada will celebrate Eid on June 28. In Pakistan, the Zil-Hajj moon has also been sighted. In Pakistan, Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on June 29.
It should be noted that the Zil-Hajj moon was sighted on Sunday in Saudi Arabia, Waqf Arafah, the main day of Hajj, will be performed on June 27, and Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 28.
According to the Saudi Supreme Court, Monday, June 19, 2023 will be the 1st of Dhul-Hijjah and Tuesday, June 27th will be Waqf Arafah, while Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 28th. However, the Dhul-Hijjah moon was not seen in Brunei, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
