How many pilgrims were blessed with Hajj this year? Data continues

 The Saudi General Authority for Statistics has released the data on the number of Hajj pilgrims this year. According to Arab media, Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq al-Rabiyyah, said that the number of pilgrims was much less than expected. In this year 2023 (1444 Hijri), 1.845 thousand male and female pilgrims from 150 countries had the privilege of performing Hajj. 



According to the Saudi Institute of Statistics, the number of pilgrims was much less than the estimate, after the corona restrictions were completely lifted, more than 2.5 million pilgrims were expected this time.

According to the data, 184,000 pilgrims were from Saudi Arabia, this year the largest number of pilgrims came from Asian countries, while Arab countries ranked second in terms of the number of pilgrims.

This year, the total number of pilgrims was 18 lakh 45 thousand 45, among them 16 lakh 60 thousand 915 pilgrims came from abroad and the number of foreigners residing in Saudi city was 1 lakh 84 thousand 130.

According to the report, in the total number of internal and external pilgrims, the number of male pilgrims was 9 lakh 69 thousand 694, the number of female pilgrims was 8 lakh 75 thousand 351.

21 percent from Arab countries, 63.5 percent from Asian countries, 13.4 percent from African countries, while 2.1 percent of pilgrims from Europe, America, and Australia arrived in Saudi Arabia. It should be noted that before Corona in 2019, 2.5 million pilgrims had the blessing of Hajj
