Pope Francis has urged Russia to restore the Black Sea grain trade.

 Pope Francis has called on Russia to revive the Black Sea grain deal, which allowed safe shipment of Ukrainian grain through its ports. 

The deal, withdrew from earlier this month, has helped curb food prices worldwide. The two countries, two of the world's largest agricultural producers, are credited with promoting safe grain transportation. Francis appeals to the Russian Federation authorities to resume the Black Sea initiative and ensure safe grain transportation.
