The Election Commission has stopped the Punjab University administration from making new recruitments without permission, the commission has directed to withdraw the ongoing advertisement for new recruitments.
In the letter sent to the Punjab University administration, the Election Commission has said that new teachers should not be recruited without permission.

The post said that the advertisement issued by the university administration for the recruitment of teachers on July 29 is a violation of the Election Act, 2017.
The Election Commission has directed that the advertisement issued for new recruitment be withdrawn immediately.
