Spokesperson of the US Department of State Matthew Miller has said that free, fair and timely elections should be held in Pakistan.
During a press briefing in Washington, he said that we urge the authorities to proceed with the election process according to the laws of Pakistan.
The spokesperson of the US State Department added that human rights, fundamental freedoms and the rule of law should be respected.
On the other hand, US special representative for Afghanistan Thomas West says that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has become a big threat to the regional integrity.
Speaking at a think tank in Washington, Thomas West said that there has been a significant increase in TTP attacks in Pakistan, and the relationship between the TTP and the Taliban is quite strong.
