Russia might start making T-80 tanks again.

Russia May resume production of tat tanks the Russian Ural wagon zavod May resume production of t-80 tanks at the request of the Russian Ministry of Defense the general director of the plant Alexander potipov told zavezza TV according to him the company's management is now working on issues related to the production of the tanks we are also working on these issues with the ministry of industry and trade

because this requires accordingly new capacities potterpov explained the t-80 tank was produced in the USSR at the Omsk transport engineering plant and entered service with the Soviet Army in 1976. Ural wagon zavod's Factory in Omsk Siberia has not built a new t-80 Hull since 1991. it is clear why the

Kremlin would apparently order Ural wagon zavod to resume production of the 46-ton three-man t-80 with its 125mm meter main gun in its 19th month long War over Ukraine Russia has lost nearly 2 000 tanks almost half the number of Tanks the Russian army has in Frontline service by early 2022 and while

the Russians have recouped many of their losses by restoring older tanks that are in storage including potentially hundreds of early model t-80s the supply of stored tanks is not unlimited it is unclear which t-80 model Ural valgansavod will produce whether it will indeed produce a brand new tank .
