 Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived in New Delhi to attend the G20 meeting.



According to Indian media, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the top officials who accompanied him will stay in India until September 11.

According to the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Saudi Crown Prince has come to India on the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the sidelines of the meeting, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Indian Prime Minister Modi will host the investment forum. Debt relief for poor countries, measures against climate change, increasing food security will be discussed in the meeting. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold sideline meetings with more than 15 world leaders. Security is tight regarding the G20 meeting in New Delhi.

Saudi Arabia is also likely to sign an infrastructure deal with the leaders of the US, India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), under which the Gulf and Arab countries will be able to connect with India through railways and ports. Ahead of the meeting in New Delhi, there were protests by the Tibetan community, with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi heavily criticized for serving food in gold and silver dishes at the chiefs' dinner.
