More than 2,000 people have been killed and thousands are missing in Libya due to the Mediterranean hurricane "Daniel".
According to Libyan Interior Minister Essam Abu Zareba, the majority of the missing people are feared to have drowned in the sea due to flooding.
A curfew has been imposed in the northeastern coastal areas due to the cyclone. Libyan authorities have appealed to international aid agencies for immediate assistance.
