Mukesh Ambani receives death threat via email; FIR filed | Breaking News |

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, received a death threat earlier this week, the police said today. In an email, a person threatened to kill the industrialist if he didn't give him 20 crore rupees. The email was sent to the ID of Mukesh Ambani's company. 'If you don't give us rupees 20 crore, we will

kill you. We have the best shooters in India,' the email read. On October 27th, an executive assistant to Mukesh Ambani, managing director of Reliance, told the security head that they had received an email at 8:51 p.m. The sender of the mail is named Shadab Khan, and it contained the threat. The security head immediately got the picture of the mail and rushed to Gamdevi police station. Based on the complaint filed by Mukesh Ambani's security in charge, Gamdevi police in Mumbai has registered a case against the person under sections 387, putting a person in fear of death or of grievous hurt in order to commit extortion, and 506(2), criminal intimidation, of the Indian Penal Code. The police have launched an investigation into the matter. This is not the first time that Mukesh Ambani has received death threats. Last year, a man from Bihar's Darbhanga was arrested for making death threat calls to Mukesh Ambani and his family members. The accused, who is an unemployed man, was identified as Rakesh Kumar Mishra. He had even threatened Mukesh Ambani's family and to blow up the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. In 2021, a Scorpio car with 20 explosives gelatin sticks and a threat letter was found outside Mukesh Ambani's South Mumbai residence. The letter read, 'This is only a trailer.'"
