Routine life is badly affected by snowfall and severe cold in the UK. Areas in Wales and Scotland, including Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, are the most affected.
Traffic has been affected by snow on several of the UK's main highways, flight operations have also been affected due to snowfall and flights are delayed. Authorities have issued instructions to people not to travel unnecessarily. The Department of Meteorology has indicated that temperatures could fall to minus 10 to 15 degrees.
