The battle for kherson in south Ukraine has become the focal point of Russia war . Russian forces are gaining ground and have been repelling Ukrainian attacks in Kherson .

Yet the new Russian commander has made rare admission in his first televised interview . Sergei Surovinkin said that the situation in kherson was very difficult for Russian troops.

Also known as General Armageddon Surovikin announced that civilians were being resettled from the Russian-occupied southern city . Kremlin installed chief of strategic southern region of Kherson said organised gradual displacement of civilians was being done from 4 towns on the dnipro river .
